Natural Gas – Daily Read
2 November 2026 | Commodity | Titan Macro Desk
$2.90
Natural Gas is trying to stabilize, but the burden of proof remains with the upside. Last price is $2.90 after finishing the last session 0.7 percent higher, yet it is trading in the lower half of its one-month range. That combination matters because the rebound shows support is responding, while the broader position within the range says conviction has not fully returned. The clear view is cautiously constructive above support, with confirmation still required before the pullback can be called complete.
The immediate pressure comes from a market reconciling a rising longer trend with weaker recent price action. The one month average is $3.06; price is below it, and the structure reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up. Momentum is roughly 4.4 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the latest strength is stabilization rather than an established reversal. For this commodity, shifting expectations around weather-driven demand and available supply can quickly change positioning, but price must first recover lost ground to show that those expectations are turning supportive again.
The nearer round number handles at $2.95 and $2.90 define the first contest because holding $2.90 and reclaiming $2.95 would show that the market can absorb pressure near the current area. Above there, $3.06 matters as the dividing line between a continuing pullback and renewed trend participation. The month swing high at $3.33, about 14.8 percent above the current price, is the major resistance because it marks the point where the latest advance previously failed. A decisive move above $3.33 opens the path toward $3.39, the upper edge of the three month range $2.62 to $3.39, which means such a break would carry both directional and range significance. On the downside, a shelf of support at $2.72, about 6.2 percent below, is defended by prior demand and the need to preserve the broader rising structure.
The bull path is straightforward: if $2.90 holds, then a recovery through $2.95 can press toward $3.06; if price then establishes itself above $3.06, the pullback loses force and $3.33 becomes the next test. If $3.33 breaks decisively, then $3.39 comes into view because the market would be escaping the month’s ceiling while challenging the top of the wider range. The bear path begins if $2.90 cannot hold and $2.95 repeatedly caps rebounds. If pressure then breaks $2.72, losing $2.72 exposes $2.62, which means the entire three-month floor would become vulnerable rather than merely the current pullback extending.
The main risk to the constructive view is sustained trade below $2.72 because that would invalidate the idea that the longer uptrend is still controlling the structure. Conversely, acceptance above $3.06 would weaken the bearish case, while a decisive clearance of $3.33 would invalidate it more fully. Net, $2.90 offers a credible stabilization point, but the read stays cautiously bullish only while $2.72 holds and becomes convincingly stronger above $3.06.
Key levels: support $2.72 (6.2% below), resistance $3.33 (14.8% above), one-month average $3.06, three-month range $2.62 to $3.39.
