How We Score Calls
Every directional call published in Alpha Insights is scored against actual market outcomes using OHLC (open, high, low, close) price data. A call is scored as follows:
- Confirmed: Price reached the stated target within the call's timeframe
- Partial: Direction was correct but the full target was not reached
- Stopped: Price hit the invalidation level before reaching the target
- Missed: No entry was triggered (the setup conditions were not met)
Directional accuracy counts Confirmed and Partial calls as correct, and Stopped calls as incorrect. Missed calls are excluded because no position was taken. This measures the quality of the analytical framework's directional reads, not trade execution.
The 1-day metric reflects whether the market moved in the called direction within the next trading session. The 3-day metric allows three sessions for the thesis to develop. Both are scored mechanically from price data with no manual adjustment.
Important: Past performance is not indicative of future results.
These metrics reflect directional accuracy of published analytical calls, not trade execution.
Actual trading results depend on entry timing, position sizing, risk management, and market conditions.
