EUR/USD – Daily Read

25 October 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
1.1204

EUR/USD is leaning lower rather than breaking down, with the last price at 1.1204 after finishing the last session 0.1 percent lower. It is trading in the lower half of its one-month range, which means the burden remains on the euro to prove that demand can regain control. The clear view is cautiously bearish while price remains beneath its key reference points, but the pair is close enough to support that pressing the downside without confirmation carries poor asymmetry.

The one month average at 1.1238 sits above price, and the structure reads as a downtrend because price is under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum is roughly 0.01 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the decline is persistent but not forceful. That distinction matters in forex, where relative rate expectations and dollar demand can keep EUR/USD heavy without producing immediate acceleration. The current action therefore looks more like controlled pressure than capitulation, leaving the pair vulnerable to a catalyst but not yet committed to a larger directional extension.

The nearest decision point is the 1.1200 round number handle, because holding around it would show that demand is still absorbing pressure near the current price. Recovering 1.1238 would matter because it would challenge the immediate bearish structure and improve the case for rotation toward the 1.1400 handle. Above there, the month swing high at 1.1413, about 1.9 percent above the current price, is the resistance that separates a rebound from a more meaningful reversal. On the downside, a shelf of support at 1.1117, about 0.8 percent below, is critical because it is also the lower boundary of the three month range from 1.1117 to 1.1715. Its defense would preserve the broader range, while its failure would signal that the market has accepted lower value.

The bull path is straightforward: if EUR/USD holds 1.1200, reclaims 1.1238, and then clears 1.1400, pressure should build against 1.1413 because successive resistance points would have been converted into support. A decisive move above 1.1413 opens the path toward 1.1715, which means the downtrend would be giving way to a broader range recovery. The bear path begins if 1.1200 cannot hold and rebounds remain capped beneath 1.1238. If that weakness then loses 1.1117, it exposes 1.1000 because the established three-month floor would no longer be containing supply.

The main risk to the bearish read is a sustained recovery through 1.1238 followed by acceptance above 1.1413, because that sequence would invalidate the pattern of lower positioning and shift control toward the upper boundary at 1.1715. Conversely, repeated defense of 1.1117 would weaken the case for immediate continuation even if price remains heavy. Net, EUR/USD retains a downside bias below 1.1238, but 1.1117 is the decisive boundary, which means conviction should follow the break rather than anticipate it.
