Ethereum (ETH) – Daily Read

$2,245.67
Ethereum is stabilising at $2,246, with the last session little changed on the session (under 0.05%), but stability should not be mistaken for strength because price remains down near the floor of its one-month range. The clear view is cautiously bearish: compressed trading near the lows can produce a sharp relief move, yet the burden remains on demand to prove that sellers have exhausted themselves. Until that happens, sideways action is consolidation within weakness, which means the next expansion in volatility matters more than the quiet session itself.
The immediate catalyst is the failure to recover after momentum ran roughly 8.1 percent down over the last two weeks, because crypto often amplifies changes in risk appetite once a directional move becomes established. Ethereum’s one month average is $2,397; price is below it, and the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. That positioning keeps rallies vulnerable to overhead supply, which means a recovery must do more than generate a brief bounce. The broader macro backdrop matters only insofar as any improvement or deterioration in risk appetite could accelerate Ethereum’s escape from this compressed area.
The nearest reference is $2,250, which matters because it sits almost directly on current price and therefore separates immediate stabilisation from renewed pressure. Just beneath it, $2,200 is the next round number handle, where demand needs to become visible if the market is building a base. The more important shelf of support is $2,182, about 2.9 percent below, because it is the last defined defence before the downside opens materially. Above, the month swing high at $2,736, about 21.8 percent above the current price, is the resistance that would overturn the present sequence of weakness. The wider three month range is $1,829 to $2,805, which means both directional outcomes have room to extend once the nearer boundaries give way.
The bull path is straightforward: if Ethereum holds $2,200 and $2,182, then reclaims $2,250 with sustained follow-through, the market can begin repairing its damaged structure because failed downside continuation would force attention back toward $2,397. If that recovery persists, then a decisive move above $2,736 opens the path toward $2,805, with the upper end of the three month range becoming relevant as resistance. The bear path is equally clear: if rebounds remain capped below $2,397 and pressure returns through $2,200, then losing $2,182 exposes $1,829 because the market would have surrendered its final nearby shelf and confirmed continuation toward the range floor.
The principal risk to the bearish view is a rapid recovery that holds above $2,397, because that would show the market is absorbing overhead supply rather than merely pausing beneath it. Full invalidation requires acceptance beyond $2,736, which means the month’s upper boundary has shifted from resistance into support. Conversely, repeated failure around $2,250 followed by a clean loss of $2,182 would strengthen the bearish case. Net, Ethereum remains vulnerable while below $2,397, with $2,182 defining whether weakness stays contained or develops into a deeper move toward $1,829.
Key levels: support $2,182 (2.9% below), resistance $2,736 (21.8% above), one-month average $2,397, three-month range $1,829 to $2,805.
