EUR/USD – Daily Read

30 October 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
1.1188

EUR/USD is at 1.1188, little changed on the session (under 0.05%), but the quiet surface masks a weak underlying structure. It is trading in the lower half of its one-month range, and the balance of risk remains tilted lower because price is failing to regain the references that would signal renewed euro demand. The clear view is that consolidation currently favors continuation of the decline unless the pair can recover meaningful resistance and hold there.

The one month average is 1.1202; price is below it, and the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum is roughly 0.5 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the recent drift has been persistent even without a sharp session move. Relative rate expectations and broader dollar demand matter because they can reinforce the pressure already visible in the pair rather than needing to create a fresh trend. The month swing high is 1.1340, about 1.4 percent above the current price, showing how much ground the euro must recover before the larger tone improves.

The nearer round number handle at 1.1200 is the first test because it sits close to the one month average of 1.1202 and therefore separates routine noise from a credible recovery attempt. Sustained trade above that area would reduce immediate downside pressure, but 1.1340 remains the resistance that controls the broader read because it capped the month’s advance. Below, a shelf of support at 1.1114, about 0.7 percent below, is critical because it is also the floor of the three month range of 1.1114 to 1.1715. That overlap should attract a defense, while a failure there would show that the established range is no longer containing weakness. The deeper round number handle at 1.1000 would then become the next major support and psychological reference.

The bull path is straightforward: if EUR/USD reclaims 1.1200, holds above 1.1202, and then forces a decisive move above 1.1340, the path opens toward 1.1715 because the month’s ceiling would have given way and the full upper boundary of the three month range would come back into play. The bear path is equally clear: if rebounds remain capped beneath 1.1200 and 1.1202, then pressure should return to 1.1114; losing 1.1114 exposes 1.1000 because the range floor would have broken without another stated support between them.

The main risk to the bearish read is a durable recovery through 1.1340 because that would invalidate the sequence of lower positioning beneath the key averages and shift attention toward 1.1715. Conversely, repeated defense of 1.1114 without a sustained recovery above 1.1200 would leave the pair compressed rather than decisively bearish, which means conviction should come from the eventual break rather than the current low-volatility session. Net, EUR/USD remains vulnerable below 1.1202, with 1.1114 carrying more immediate significance than upside hopes toward 1.1340.
