Ethereum (ETH) – Daily Read

2 November 2026 | Crypto | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
$2,286.63

Ethereum at $2,287 is attempting to stabilize after finishing the last session 2.3 percent higher, but the move is still a rebound inside a damaged structure rather than a confirmed reversal. That distinction matters because ETH remains down near the floor of its one-month range, where short-covering and tactical demand can produce sharp rallies without changing the dominant direction. The clear view is cautiously bearish while price remains beneath the range ceiling, with the latest strength treated as evidence that support is active, not that control has shifted decisively toward the bulls.

The broader crypto backdrop remains sensitive to liquidity and risk appetite, which means ETH needs sustained participation across the asset class rather than a brief relief move to repair its structure. Its one month average is $2,422; price is below it, and the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum roughly 4.6 percent down over the last two weeks reinforces that message because recent advances have not yet recovered the ground lost during the preceding decline. The month swing high at $2,766, about 21.0 percent above the current price, shows how much work remains before the market can credibly claim that the correction has ended.

The immediate contest sits around the nearer round number handles at $2,300 and $2,250, which means acceptance above the first would improve near-term tone, while repeated failure there would keep rallies vulnerable. Holding $2,250 would show that participants are defending the latest rebound before pressure reaches the shelf of support at $2,182, about 4.6 percent below. That shelf matters because it is the clearest nearby line separating stabilization from renewed downside expansion. The wider three month range of $1,829 to $2,805 places current trade in its lower half, which means weakness through the shelf would leave substantial open space below, while strength still faces heavy overhead supply.

The bull path is straightforward: if ETH holds $2,250, establishes itself above $2,300, and then recovers $2,422, the rebound should gain credibility because price would be reclaiming both an immediate psychological barrier and its recent mean. A decisive move above $2,766 opens the path toward $2,805, which means the former month ceiling must be cleared before the broader range high becomes the relevant test. The bear path is equally clear: if $2,300 continues to reject advances and $2,250 fails, pressure should rotate back toward $2,182; losing $2,182 exposes $1,829 because the nearest established floor would have given way.

The main risk to the bearish reading is a fast, sustained recovery through $2,422 followed by acceptance above $2,766, which would invalidate the view that strength is merely corrective. Conversely, a brief push above nearby resistance that quickly reverses would strengthen the downside case because failed recoveries often leave late participants trapped. Net, ETH is defending an important lower-range area, but the burden of proof remains on the bulls until resistance is reclaimed and held.
