Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

5 November 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
28,437.2

NAS100 is pressing the lower edge of its recent structure, with the last price at 28,437 and little changed on the session (under 0.05%). That apparent calm is deceptive because it is down near the floor of its one-month range after momentum ran roughly 1.8 percent down over the last two weeks. The clear view is defensive: stability around current prices can produce a rebound, but the burden remains on demand to repair a damaged trend before the index deserves a durable bullish reading.

The pressure matters particularly for an Index dominated by growth companies because uncertainty around rates and the durability of technology leadership can quickly alter how investors value distant earnings. The one month average is 29,376, and price is below it, while the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. That alignment shows weakness across more than one horizon, which means a modest recovery would initially look like relief rather than a confirmed change in direction.

The nearest round number handle at 28,500 is immediate resistance because NAS100 must reclaim it to show that demand can hold above the current congestion. The 28,000 handle is the first psychological support, but the more important shelf of support sits at 27,967, about 1.7 percent below. That shelf is defended by its proximity to the lower end of the recent distribution, which means sustained trade beneath it would confirm that pressure is expanding rather than merely testing a round number. The wider three month range is 27,176 to 31,361. Its upper boundary is also the month swing high at 31,361, about 10.3 percent above the current price, making it the decisive resistance that separates a rebound from a genuine structural reversal.

The bull path is straightforward: if 28,000 and 27,967 continue to hold, then a recovery through 28,500 can challenge 29,376, because reclaiming the one month average would be the first evidence that near-term control is shifting. If strength then persists across the gap to 31,361, a decisive move above 31,361 opens the path toward 31,861. The bear path is equally clear: if repeated failures below 28,500 keep price beneath 29,376, then pressure should return to 28,000 and 27,967. Losing 27,967 exposes 27,176 because the existing shelf would no longer contain the decline, leaving the bottom of the three month range as the next meaningful reference.

The main risk to the defensive view is a forceful recovery that holds above 29,376 and ultimately clears 31,361, because that would invalidate the sequence of lower structural reference points and shift attention to 31,861. Conversely, a brief move beneath 27,967 that rapidly recovers would weaken the bearish signal, while acceptance below it would reinforce downside control toward 27,176. Net, NAS100 remains vulnerable at 28,437, with support close enough to encourage a reaction but trend repair still requiring sustained strength above 28,500, 29,376, and finally 31,361.
