Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

29,402.5
Nasdaq 100 is in a corrective phase rather than a confirmed trend reversal, with the last price at 29,403 after finishing the last session 1.4 percent lower. It is trading in the lower half of its one-month range, which means near-term control has shifted toward the bears even as the broader direction remains constructive. The clear view is cautious below nearby resistance: the pullback can deepen before the longer advance reasserts itself, and the response around support will determine whether this is orderly consolidation or the start of more serious damage.
The one-month average at 30,054 is the immediate reference because price is below it, and the structure reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up. Momentum is roughly 1.8 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the weakness has persisted beyond a single poor session and needs a credible recovery before confidence improves. The wider macro backdrop matters only insofar as a growth-sensitive index can react sharply to changing expectations for policy, technology earnings and long-duration valuations, which means Nasdaq-specific pressure can be amplified when those expectations turn less supportive.
The first contest is around the nearer round number handles at 29,500 and 29,000. A recovery through 29,500 matters because it would show that the latest weakness is being absorbed, while sustained trade below 29,000 would suggest that sellers remain comfortable pressing toward the shelf of support at 28,826, about 2.0 percent below. That shelf is pivotal because it separates a contained retreat from a broader range breakdown. The three-month range of 27,176 to 31,361 shows that price still sits well above its lower boundary, which means the larger structure retains room to hold even if near-term conditions remain heavy.
The month swing high at 31,361 is about 6.7 percent above the current price and is the defining resistance because it capped the recent advance and also marks the top of the three-month range. If Nasdaq 100 reclaims 29,500, then regains the one-month average at 30,054 and holds above it, the bull path becomes a retest of 31,361. A decisive move above 31,361 opens the path toward 31,861, which means the correction would have resolved back in the direction of the longer trend. If instead 29,000 fails and pressure reaches 28,826, then losing 28,826 exposes 27,176, because the established support shelf would no longer be containing the retreat.
The principal risk to the constructive view is acceleration beneath 28,826, which means the decline would be shifting from a pullback into a materially weaker three-month structure. Conversely, the bearish read would be invalidated by sustained recovery above 30,054 and then a decisive move through 31,361, because that sequence would restore control to the longer upward trend. Net, 29,403 leaves Nasdaq 100 vulnerable in the short run, but the larger advance remains viable while 28,826 holds.
Key levels: support 28,826 (2.0% below), resistance 31,361 (6.7% above), one-month average 30,054, three-month range 27,176 to 31,361.
