Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

27 October 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
29,273.4

Nasdaq 100 is attempting to stabilize after a sharp but still orderly pullback, with the last price at 29,273 and the last session 1.1 percent higher. The rebound matters because the index is down near the floor of its one-month range, where a failure to hold would turn a corrective phase into a more damaging retreat. The clear view is cautiously constructive while nearby support survives, but the burden remains on price to prove that demand has returned.

The macro backdrop matters because growth-sensitive technology shares react strongly to changes in expectations around rates, liquidity, and future earnings, which means shifts in those expectations can quickly amplify the index move. Instrument-specific pressure is visible in performance roughly 4.5 percent down over the last two weeks. The one month average is 30,173, and price is below it, so the structure reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up. That combination argues against treating one stronger session as confirmation of a durable turn.

The nearer round number handles at 29,500 and 29,000 define the immediate contest because they separate stabilization from renewed pressure. Holding 29,000 would show that participants are defending the lower part of the recent range, while reclaiming 29,500 would indicate that the latest rebound is gaining acceptance. Continued trade below 29,500 would leave overhead supply in control, and a sustained loss of 29,000 would shift attention toward the more important shelf underneath.

That shelf of support sits at 28,826, about 1.5 percent below, and it matters because it is the last clear defense before the pullback can expand into the broader three month range of 27,176 to 31,361. The month swing high is 31,361, about 7.1 percent above the current price, which means the market has meaningful recovery work ahead even if 28,826 holds. Resistance at 31,361 is therefore the boundary between repairing the pullback and restarting the larger advance.

If the index holds 29,000, establishes itself above 29,500, and then regains 30,173, then the pullback would begin to look absorbed rather than merely paused. A decisive move above 31,361 opens the path toward 31,861 because clearing the month swing high would remove the most important visible resistance and confirm renewed upside expansion. The bull path therefore requires sequential acceptance, not simply another strong session from the lower end of the range.

If 29,000 fails and 28,826 cannot contain the pressure, then losing 28,826 exposes 27,176 because the market would have broken its nearby support shelf and reopened the bottom of the three month range. The constructive read is invalidated by sustained trade beneath 28,826, while repeated rejection below 30,173 would keep the recovery suspect even without a breakdown. Net, 29,273 leaves NAS100 at a decision point: support still permits recovery, but confirmation requires strength through the overhead levels.
