EUR/USD – Daily Read

5 November 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
1.1225

EUR/USD is attempting to recover rather than beginning a clean bullish trend. Last price is 1.1225, with the last session change at 0.1 percent lower, yet it is holding in the upper half of its one-month range. That matters because resilience near the upper half shows euro demand has not disappeared, while the softer session confirms that conviction remains limited. The pair therefore retains a constructive short-term bias, but it still needs a clear upside break before that recovery can be treated as durable.

The broader backdrop remains a restraint because German factory orders rose 4.4% after a 10.1% drop, EA construction PMI printed 42.5, and DXY climbed 0.1% to 101.61, which means improving German manufacturing demand is being offset by persistent regional weakness and a firmer dollar. Within forex, that combination leaves EUR/USD caught between tentative euro stabilization and renewed dollar pressure. Momentum is roughly 0.04 percent up over the last two weeks, which means the pair has advanced, but only marginally. This is consistent with a market rebuilding rather than accelerating, where dollar direction remains the most immediate catalyst for whether the recovery gains breadth or fades.

The one month average at 1.1199 is the first important reference because price is above it, and the structure reads as a recovery attempt, back above the one-month average but still under the longer one. The nearer round number handle at 1.1200 reinforces that area as support, which means holding above it preserves the current constructive tone and keeps pressure directed toward the month swing high at 1.1275, about 0.5 percent above the current price. That high is meaningful resistance because it marks the point where recent euro demand previously stalled. Above it, the nearer round number handle at 1.1400 becomes a natural test of follow-through. Below, a shelf of support at 1.1114, about 1.0 percent below, is the critical defensive line because it is also the floor of the three month range at 1.1114 to 1.1715.

If EUR/USD holds 1.1200, reclaims 1.1275 decisively, and sustains acceptance above that ceiling, then the recovery should broaden because trapped resistance would have given way to stronger euro demand. A decisive move above 1.1275 opens the path toward 1.1715, with 1.1400 acting as the nearer checkpoint that must hold rather than immediately reject price. If 1.1200 fails and rebounds remain shallow, then pressure should migrate toward 1.1114 because the market would have slipped back below its recent recovery base. Losing 1.1114 exposes 1.1000, which means the entire recovery attempt would have failed and the downside structure would be reasserting itself.

The principal risk to the constructive view is continued dollar strength coupled with failure at 1.1275, because repeated rejection there would show that the euro lacks enough demand to escape its recent range. The bullish read is invalidated by a sustained loss of 1.1114, while the bearish read is invalidated by firm acceptance above 1.1275 and successful defense of 1.1400. Net, EUR/USD remains cautiously constructive above 1.1199 and 1.1200, but conviction belongs only above 1.1275 because that break would turn a tentative recovery into a credible move toward 1.1715.
