EUR/USD – Daily Read

14 October 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
1.1210

EUR/USD is attempting to stabilize at 1.1210 after finishing the last session 0.1 percent higher, but the balance of evidence remains bearish because the pair is down near the floor of its one-month range. The small advance matters as an early sign that immediate pressure may be easing, yet it does not reverse the broader deterioration. The clear view is that stabilization can produce a rebound, but the burden remains on the euro to reclaim lost ground before that rebound becomes a durable change in direction.

The relevant macro channel is relative rate expectations, which means shifts in the perceived policy gap between the euro area and the United States can amplify moves already developing in the pair. Here, the instrument-specific message is weak: the one month average is 1.1314, price is below it, and the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum is roughly 1.1 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the latest positive session is still a counter-move within a sequence dominated by lower pricing rather than evidence of a completed turn.

The nearest decision area is the round number handle at 1.1200 because it sits just beneath the last price and provides the first test of whether demand can absorb renewed pressure. Holding that handle would preserve room for a recovery toward the one month average at 1.1314, while sustained trade above that area would begin repairing the damaged structure. The next round number handle at 1.1400 is resistance because reclaiming it would show that the recovery has moved beyond simple stabilization. Above there, the month swing high at 1.1559, about 3.1 percent above the current price, is the decisive resistance. On the downside, a shelf of support at 1.1156, about 0.5 percent below, matters because it is also the lower boundary of the three month range at 1.1156 to 1.1715.

The bull path is straightforward: if 1.1200 continues to hold, then a move through 1.1314 would reduce immediate downside pressure and place 1.1400 in focus. If the pair then sustains strength through 1.1400, the market can challenge 1.1559 with greater credibility. A decisive move above 1.1559 opens the path toward 1.1715, which means the advance would have cleared the month swing high and begun traversing the upper portion of the three month range. The bear path is equally clear: if 1.1200 fails and pressure reaches 1.1156, then losing 1.1156 exposes 1.1000 because the established range floor would no longer be containing weakness.

The main risk to the bearish read is a sustained recovery above 1.1400, with full invalidation requiring a decisive move above 1.1559 because that would break the sequence that currently defines the downtrend. Conversely, repeated failure near 1.1200 followed by a loss of 1.1156 would confirm that the last session’s 0.1 percent higher close was only a pause. Net, EUR/USD remains vulnerable below 1.1314, with 1.1156 defining whether weakness stays contained or extends toward 1.1000.
