Ethereum (ETH) – Daily Read

31 October 2026 | Crypto | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
$2,234.38

Ethereum is pressing the weak end of its recent map, with the last price at $2,234 after the last session finished 1.2 percent lower. The clear view is defensive while price remains down near the floor of its one-month range, because the market is accepting progressively lower value rather than showing durable demand. This matters now because crypto trades continuously and can move quickly once a nearby shelf gives way, so the small distance to support carries more weight than the apparently attractive discount to the month’s peak.

The pressure is specific as well as broad: Ethereum has failed to hold its one month average $2,443, and the structure reads as a downtrend, price under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum roughly 7.4 percent down over the last two weeks confirms that recent participation has favored de-risking, because rebounds have not repaired the underlying damage. The macro backdrop matters only insofar as uncertain liquidity conditions can amplify crypto volatility, while Ethereum still needs evidence of renewed demand within its own market before the asset class can treat weakness as exhaustion.

The nearer round number handles at $2,250 and $2,200 define the immediate contest. Holding $2,200 would show that participants are defending a psychologically visible area, while reclaiming $2,250 would begin to reduce near-term pressure because price would have recovered the handle sitting just above the last print. The more important shelf of support at $2,182, about 2.4 percent below, is the structural line because it stands between orderly range trade and a deeper unwind. Above, the month swing high $2,766, about 23.8 percent above the current price, is resistance that matters because clearing it would negate the sequence of weakness rather than merely produce a bounce.

The bull path is conditional: if Ethereum defends $2,200, holds the shelf at $2,182, then reclaims $2,250 and sustains acceptance above the one month average $2,443, the market can rebuild toward $2,766. A decisive move above $2,766 opens the path toward $2,805, which is also the upper edge of the three month range $1,829 to $2,805, because that sequence would show demand absorbing supply across every cited barrier. The bear path is cleaner: if $2,200 fails and losing $2,182 exposes $1,829, downside can accelerate because the next stated reference sits at the lower edge of that three month range.

The main risk to the defensive view is a fast reversal through $2,250 followed by sustained trade above $2,443, because that would indicate the breakdown pressure had been absorbed and would shift attention back to $2,766. Conversely, repeated failure beneath those recovered handles would keep the current weakness intact, while a decisive loss of $2,182 would invalidate any stabilization thesis and make $1,829 the relevant downside reference. Net, Ethereum remains vulnerable at $2,234 because trend, recent performance, and location all lean lower, but the read turns constructive only when price proves it can reclaim resistance rather than merely pause above support.
