Ethereum (ETH) – Daily Read

23 October 2026 | Crypto | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
$2,396.23

Ethereum is trying to stabilize rather than confirming a durable recovery. Last price is $2,396, with the last session 0.8 percent higher, but it is down near the floor of its one-month range. That matters because strength appearing at the bottom of a range can mark early exhaustion among weaker holders, yet one positive session does not repair the broader loss of momentum. The clear view is cautiously constructive while nearby support holds, with confirmation still required before the pullback can be treated as complete.

The one month average is $2,539 and price is below it, so the structure reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up. Momentum is roughly 3.6 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the immediate pressure remains negative even though the larger structure has not fully turned. Crypto conditions can amplify this tension because Ethereum is trading as both a high sensitivity risk asset and a network asset, leaving it vulnerable to broad changes in risk appetite while traders judge whether this weakness is corrective or the start of a deeper unwind.

The nearer round number handles at $2,400 and $2,350 define the immediate contest. Holding around $2,400 would show that the latest rebound is gaining acceptance because price would be reclaiming a psychologically important area, while $2,350 is the lower handle that needs to absorb renewed pressure. Beneath them, a shelf of support at $2,324, about 3.0 percent below, is the critical defense because losing it would remove the nearest structure separating the current pullback from a materially wider decline. Above, the month swing high at $2,766, about 15.4 percent above the current price, is meaningful resistance because clearing it would demonstrate that supply across the entire recent range has been absorbed. The Three month range is $1,783 to $2,805, which means both the recovery potential and downside risk remain unusually broad.

The bull path is straightforward: if Ethereum holds $2,350 and $2,324, then reclaims $2,400 with sustained acceptance, the pullback can begin to mature into a recovery toward $2,539. If that level is recovered and defended, then pressure can extend toward $2,766 because price would have repaired the key break in the recent structure. A decisive move above $2,766 opens the path toward $2,805. The bear path is equally clear: if attempts above $2,400 repeatedly fail and price slips through $2,350, then the burden shifts back to $2,324. Losing $2,324 exposes $1,783 because the nearby shelf would no longer contain the retreat.

The main risk to the constructive view is false stabilization near the range floor, because a weak bounce can disguise continued distribution before support fails. The read is invalidated on a decisive loss of $2,324, while the bearish case is invalidated by sustained strength above $2,766. Net, Ethereum remains in an upward longer trend but under meaningful short-term pressure, which means patience around support is warranted until price proves whether this is a contained pullback or a broader structural break.
