Silver (XAG/USD) – Daily Read

13 October 2026 | Commodity | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
$60.51

Silver is attempting to stabilize, with the last price at $60.51 after finishing 1.9 percent higher, but the balance of evidence still describes a rebound inside a pullback rather than a completed turn. That distinction matters because it is down near the floor of its one-month range, where recovery potential is meaningful but confidence remains fragile. The clear view is cautiously constructive above nearby support, while accepting that the market must reclaim lost ground before the upside trend regains control.

The broader macro backdrop matters through silver’s sensitivity to the dollar, real yields, and industrial demand expectations, because shifts in those forces can amplify moves in this commodity. Instrument-specific pressure is clearer: momentum is roughly 4.6 percent down over the last two weeks, while the price sits below the one month average of $64.36. The structure therefore reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up, which means recent weakness has damaged near-term control without yet overturning the larger advance.

The nearest battle is around the round number handles at $62.00 and $60.00. A sustained recovery through $62.00 would matter because it would place the price back above the immediate congestion area and improve the case that demand is rebuilding. Holding $60.00 is equally important because failure there would shift attention toward the shelf of support at $58.73, about 2.9 percent below. That shelf is defended by its proximity to the recent range floor, while losing it would show that the rebound lacked depth. The wider three month range of $56.38 to $90.11 highlights how much room exists in either direction, which means moves through these boundaries can accelerate quickly.

The bull path is straightforward: if $60.00 holds, then a push through $62.00 can challenge the one month average at $64.36, because reclaiming that reference would signal that the pullback is being absorbed. If strength then extends through the month swing high at $70.53, about 16.5 percent above the current price, a decisive move above $70.53 opens the path toward $90.11. The bear path is the mirror image: if $60.00 fails and the market cannot recover it, then pressure should return to $58.73; losing $58.73 exposes $56.38, because the established support shelf would no longer be containing the decline.

The principal risk to the constructive view is that the 1.9 percent higher session proves to be short covering rather than durable demand. Continued trade below $64.36 would preserve the pullback structure, while rejection at $62.00 followed by a break of $58.73 would invalidate the stabilization thesis because it would confirm renewed control by the downside. Conversely, acceptance above $70.53 would invalidate the cautious stance and restore a stronger upward read toward $90.11. Net, silver remains vulnerable near $60.51, but support is close enough to keep the longer uptrend credible unless $58.73 gives way.
