AUD/USD – Daily Read

1 November 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
0.7035

AUD/USD is attempting to turn a short-term recovery into a broader advance, with the last price at 0.7035 after finishing the last session 0.1 percent higher. The pair is holding in the upper half of its one-month range, which means near-term control has shifted toward the bullish side without yet producing a clean breakout. The view is constructive while price holds above 0.7000, but conviction should remain measured because the market is approaching resistance that has already capped the recovery.

The immediate context is a firmer Australian dollar tone rather than a completed trend reversal. Momentum is roughly 1.3 percent up over the last two weeks, and price is above the one month average at 0.6996, which means recent weakness has been absorbed well enough to establish a recovery attempt. The structure reads as a recovery attempt, back above the one-month average but still under the longer one, because short-term demand has improved while the broader trend has not yet confirmed the move. Macro developments matter chiefly through relative rate expectations and global risk appetite here, because AUD/USD remains sensitive to shifts in both rather than to a single domestic catalyst.

The first line that matters is 0.7000, because this nearer round number handle sits just beneath the current market and separates a firm recovery from another loss of traction. Holding it keeps the one month average at 0.6996 on the supportive side of the structure, while repeated closes below it would weaken the case that the latest advance is durable. Above, the month swing high at 0.7070 is about 0.5 percent above the current price, which means it is close enough to test bullish intent rather than merely serve as distant resistance.

A decisive move above 0.7070 opens the path toward 0.7241, because clearing the month swing high would remove the nearest visible cap and invite a test of the upper boundary of the three month range at 0.6899 to 0.7241. The nearer round number handle at 0.7200 would then matter as resistance before that boundary, because hesitation there could leave the breakout vulnerable to reversal. If 0.7070 rejects price and 0.7000 subsequently gives way, then the recovery would lose its immediate anchor and attention would shift back toward deeper support.

That deeper shelf sits at 0.6899, about 1.9 percent below, and it is critical because it is both established support and the floor of the three month range. If pressure reaches 0.6899 but the shelf holds, then AUD/USD can remain range-bound and rebuild. If losing 0.6899 exposes 0.6800, then the recovery thesis is invalidated because the market would have broken the range floor and opened a materially weaker phase. The net take is cautiously bullish above 0.7000, stronger only through 0.7070, and decisively bearish below 0.6899.
