Finding the Right Buddy

Your trading buddy should:

  • Trade similar styles (or at least understand yours)
  • Be at a similar skill level (or slightly ahead)
  • Have genuine interest in your success
  • Be willing to give honest feedback
  • Have their own accountability to you (mutual)

    • Avoid:

  • People who just want to complain about losses
  • People who trade completely different styles
  • People who aren’t serious about improvement
  • People who enable your bad habits

    • The Daily Check-In

    Simple structure that works:

    Morning (Pre-market):

  • Share your watchlist
  • State your rules/focus for the day
  • Declare your daily loss limit

    • Evening (Post-market):

  • Share your trades (win or lose)
  • Rate your discipline (1-10)
  • Identify one lesson
  • Acknowledge your buddy’s discipline

    • Takes 5 minutes. Transforms your trading.
