EUR/USD – Daily Read

8 November 2026 | Forex | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
1.1142

EUR/USD is under pressure at 1.1142 after finishing the last session 0.7 percent lower, and the move matters because it leaves the pair down near the floor of its one-month range with little room before support must prove itself. The structure reads as a downtrend, with price under both its one-month and longer averages, while momentum is roughly 0.6 percent down over the last two weeks. The clear view is defensive: euro weakness remains the dominant force unless the pair can recover meaningful overhead levels rather than merely stabilize after a sharp decline.

The macro backdrop matters only insofar as relative rate expectations and demand for the dollar are reinforcing the currency-specific pressure visible in EUR/USD, which means the burden remains on the euro to demonstrate renewed demand. The one month average at 1.1195 is the first important test because price is below it and has failed to preserve its recent center of gravity. The nearby 1.1200 round number handle adds weight to that area, since a sustained recovery through both would signal that the latest decline is losing control rather than simply pausing near the lows.

The immediate shelf of support is 1.1114, about 0.3 percent below the current price, and it matters because it is both the lower boundary of the three month range of 1.1114 to 1.1715 and the nearest point where demand has previously held. Defending 1.1114 would preserve the possibility of a base near the range floor, but repeated pressure against it would weaken that defense. Above, the month swing high at 1.1275 sits about 1.2 percent above the current price. That level is decisive resistance because clearing it would overturn the sequence of weakness and show that demand has absorbed supply across the recent range.

The bull path is straightforward: if 1.1114 holds, EUR/USD reclaims 1.1195 and then establishes itself above 1.1200, the decline begins to look exhausted and the pair can challenge 1.1275. A decisive move above 1.1275 opens the path toward 1.1715 because it removes the month swing high and shifts attention to the top of the three month range. The bear path is equally clear: if rebounds remain capped below 1.1195 and 1.1200, then pressure is likely to return to 1.1114. Losing 1.1114 exposes 1.1000, which means the existing range floor has failed and the market is seeking a lower area of balance.

The principal risk to the bearish read is a fast recovery that holds above 1.1200 and extends through 1.1275, because that would invalidate the idea that overhead supply remains in control. Conversely, a brief move beneath 1.1114 that quickly reverses would not carry the same message as sustained acceptance below it, so confirmation matters before treating 1.1000 as exposed. Net, EUR/USD remains vulnerable at 1.1142 because the trend, recent momentum, and position beneath 1.1195 all favor further pressure, but 1.1114 is close enough to make the next decisive move more important than the latest decline itself.
