STOXX 600 (SXXP) – Daily Read
8 November 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk
648.3
The STOXX 600 (SXXP) remains in a constructive advance despite finishing the last session at 648.3, 1.0 percent lower, because the setback has not broken the broader pattern of higher ground. It is holding in the upper half of its one-month range, which means the balance of evidence still favors consolidation within strength rather than a completed turn. The clear view is that this pullback should remain contained while nearby support holds, but the index now needs to reclaim the first overhead handle to restore urgency.
This is the broad index of 600 European companies, not the Euro Stoxx 50, so its wide European breadth makes the move a more useful reading of regional risk appetite than a narrow concentration of euro-area heavyweights. The one month average stands at 643.5 and price is above it, while the structure reads as a clean uptrend with price above both its one-month and longer averages, which means the underlying advance still has breadth across time horizons. Momentum is roughly 2.0 percent up over the last two weeks, because recent demand has remained stronger than the latest daily decline alone suggests.
The immediate contest is around the round number handles at 650.0 and 640.0, because 650.0 is the first point the index must recover to show that the latest weakness is being absorbed, while 640.0 protects the constructive short-term structure and sits close enough to the one month average to form a meaningful defensive zone. Above, the month swing high at 662.4 is about 2.2 percent above the current price, and it matters because it marks the clearest recent supply boundary. The wider three month range of 622.9 to 663.4 reinforces that ceiling, while the shelf of support at 622.9, about 3.9 percent below, is the level that preserves the entire range advance because it is both the range floor and the last major defended base.
The bull path is straightforward: if 648.3 stabilizes, 650.0 is reclaimed, and the index sustains pressure through the upper range, then a decisive move above 662.4 opens the path toward 672.4, because clearing the month peak would remove the nearest visible barrier and signal expansion beyond recent boundaries. The bear path begins if 640.0 gives way and cannot be recovered, which means the market would likely test whether the deeper shelf can absorb broader weakness. If that deterioration continues and losing 622.9 follows, it exposes 612.9 because the three month floor would no longer be containing supply.
The main risk to the constructive read is failed recovery rather than the isolated 1.0 percent decline, because repeated rejection beneath 650.0 would turn a routine pause into evidence that demand is fading. A move through 662.4 that quickly falls back below it would also weaken the bull case, while a sustained loss of 622.9 would invalidate the uptrend view and shift control toward 612.9. Net, SXXP retains a positive bias above 640.0 and remains structurally sound above 622.9, but conviction strengthens only beyond 662.4 because that is where resilience becomes renewed range expansion.
Key levels: support 622.9 (3.9% below), resistance 662.4 (2.2% above), one-month average 643.5, three-month range 622.9 to 663.4.
