Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

7 November 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
26,967.6

Nasdaq 100 is attempting to stabilize at 26,968 after finishing the last session 1.1 percent higher, but the rebound does not yet overturn the broader deterioration because the index remains down near the floor of its one-month range. That matters because strength from a depressed position can represent either early repair or a temporary pause before another leg lower. The clear view is cautiously bearish until price reclaims the territory that would show demand is absorbing supply rather than merely reacting to an oversold market.

The macro backdrop matters only insofar as uncertainty around growth, policy, and technology valuations is amplifying moves in this duration-sensitive index, which means Nasdaq-specific positioning remains vulnerable when confidence in premium growth assets weakens. The one month average at 29,093 sits above price, and the structure reads as a downtrend, with price under both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum is roughly 6.9 percent down over the last two weeks, which means the latest advance is modest compared with the preceding decline. The month swing high at 31,170 stands about 15.6 percent above the current price, reinforcing how much structural repair is required before control can credibly shift back toward the bulls.

The immediate decision area is the round number handle at 27,000 because holding above it would help the rebound develop psychological and tactical credibility. Failure there keeps attention on the shelf of support at 26,606, about 1.3 percent below, where prior demand and the bottom of the three month range 26,606 to 31,361 should provide the strongest nearby defence. The 26,500 handle matters just beneath that shelf because it is the next obvious reference point if support gives way. At the upper end, 31,170 is the key resistance rather than merely a former high, since clearing it would repair the month structure and bring 31,361 back into play as the boundary of the wider range.

The bull path is straightforward: if 27,000 is reclaimed and then defended during pullbacks, the recovery can begin rebuilding acceptance toward 29,093 because holding above the nearer handle would signal that downside pressure is losing control. If price subsequently makes a decisive move above 31,170, that opens the path toward 31,361, which means the downtrend thesis would be materially weakened. The bear path is equally clear: if rebounds repeatedly fail below 27,000 and price loses 26,606, then 26,500 is exposed because the established range floor would no longer be containing supply.

The principal risk to the bearish read is a sustained recovery through 29,093, followed by acceptance above 31,170, because that sequence would replace lower structural positioning with genuine repair. Conversely, a brief push above 27,000 would not be enough if it cannot hold, while a decisive break beneath 26,606 would confirm that the 1.1 percent rebound lacked durability. Net, 26,968 is a stabilization attempt inside a damaged trend, which means caution remains warranted until resistance is reclaimed and defended.
