Silver (XAG/USD) – Daily Read

13 September 2026 | Commodity | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
$65.02

Silver is trying to stabilize, but the burden of proof remains with buyers. Last price $65.02, 0.1 percent higher on the day, leaves the market caught between an intact longer-term advance and a meaningful short-term correction. The clear view is cautiously constructive above support, but not outright bullish while price remains beneath its recent center of gravity. This matters because silver can accelerate sharply once conviction returns, yet its dual role as a monetary and industrial metal also makes it vulnerable when macro conditions tighten.

The immediate macro backdrop is less forgiving for precious metals. A firmer dollar and rising bond yields have challenged the case for holding non-yielding assets, while inflation uncertainty keeps expectations for monetary policy unsettled. Silver carries an additional industrial sensitivity: structural consumption themes and constrained supply remain supportive, but demand is becoming more selective as manufacturers economize and substitute where possible. That tension explains why the longer trend can still point up while the current move behaves like a pullback. It is trading in the lower half of its one-month range, and momentum is roughly 7.2 percent down over the last two weeks.

The one month average $67.23 is the first meaningful test because price is below it, and the structure reads as a pullback, slipping under the one-month average while the longer trend still points up. Reclaiming that area would suggest sellers are losing control and that the correction is being absorbed. Before then, $66.00 is the nearer round number handle buyers must recover to improve the tone. On the downside, $64.00 is the first practical defense. Holding it would preserve a workable base, while repeated failure there would shift attention toward a shelf of support at $62.45, about 4.0 percent below. That shelf is critical because it separates an orderly retracement from a broader unwind.

The month swing high $71.78, about 10.4 percent above the current price, is the decisive upside barrier. It represents the point where buyers would have fully reversed the recent loss of momentum. The wider three month range $56.13 to $79.40 frames the larger opportunity and risk. A decisive move above $71.78 opens the path toward $79.40, because clearing the recent high would remove visible overhead supply and invite trend participation.

The bull path is straightforward: if $64.00 holds, price recovers $66.00 and then establishes acceptance above $67.23, the pullback thesis strengthens and a challenge of $71.78 becomes credible. If that barrier breaks decisively, $79.40 becomes the natural destination. The bear path begins if rebounds fail beneath $67.23 and sellers force a break of $64.00. If losing $62.45 follows, it exposes $56.13 and confirms that the correction has become a deeper reset.

The principal risk to the constructive view is persistent dollar and yield strength combined with softer industrial confidence. The bearish read would be invalidated by sustained acceptance above $71.78. Net, silver retains upside potential, but buyers need to defend $62.45 and reclaim $67.23 before conviction deserves to replace caution.
