Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

13 October 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
30,664.7

Nasdaq 100 remains in a constructive trend despite ending the last session 0.7 percent lower at 30,665, because the setback has not displaced the index from the upper half of its one-month range. The clear view is that this is consolidation beneath major resistance rather than a confirmed reversal. That distinction matters because the market is absorbing supply close to the recent peak while preserving the broader pattern of higher ground, leaving the next decisive move dependent on whether demand can reassert itself near the round-number handles.

The wider growth backdrop matters because changing expectations around policy, inflation and earnings have an outsized effect on the long-duration companies that dominate NAS100. Instrument-specific structure remains supportive: the one month average is 30,391, price is above it, and the structure reads as a clean uptrend, price above both its one-month and longer averages. Momentum is roughly 1.3 percent up over the last two weeks, which means the latest decline has moderated the advance without yet erasing its underlying force.

The immediate contest sits around 31,000, because reclaiming and holding that handle would show that the recent weakness is being absorbed and would return attention to the month swing high at 31,361, about 2.3 percent above the current price. That high is meaningful resistance because it marks the upper boundary of both the recent advance and the three month range of 27,176 to 31,361. Below, 30,000 is the nearer psychological support, which means sustained trade beneath it would weaken the short-term structure and increase the probability of a deeper reset. The more important shelf stands at 28,753, about 6.2 percent below, because that area separates an orderly pullback within the advance from a broader deterioration in trend.

The bull path is straightforward: if NAS100 stabilizes above 30,000, reclaims 31,000 and then produces a decisive move above 31,361, the path opens toward 32,000 because overhead supply from the established range would have been cleared. The bear path begins if repeated failures around 31,000 push the index through 30,000, which means near-term control has shifted toward supply. If that weakness extends through 28,753, it exposes 27,176 because the principal support shelf would no longer be defending the lower portion of the three month range.

The main risk to the constructive view is that a modest retreat becomes sustained distribution while price remains unable to recover 30,391, because that would challenge the assumption that the latest weakness is only consolidation. A decisive loss of 28,753 would invalidate the clean uptrend interpretation and shift the read toward a full-range retracement to 27,176. Conversely, acceptance above 31,361 would invalidate the cautious near-term stance and confirm renewed upside expansion toward 32,000. Net, NAS100 retains a bullish structure, but conviction should remain conditional because 31,361 still caps progress and 30,000 is the nearest line preserving momentum.
