Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) – Daily Read

27 September 2026 | Index | Titan Macro Desk

Last Price
30,608.1

Nasdaq 100 (NAS100) is extending a well-defined advance, with the last price at 30,608, 0.4 percent higher on the day. The index is pressing the top of its one-month range, so the immediate question is whether buyers can convert strong positioning into a sustained breakout. The view remains constructive, but this is no longer an easy chase. Price is close enough to resistance that confirmation matters, while the distance to meaningful support leaves room for a sharp reset if buyers lose control.

The broader backdrop is one in which expectations for growth, policy, liquidity, and corporate earnings remain central to index pricing. That matters especially for NAS100 because its leadership is concentrated in companies whose valuations are sensitive to changes in those expectations. For now, price action says investors are still willing to pay for growth exposure. Momentum is roughly 4.2 percent up over the last two weeks, and the one month average is 29,673. Price is above it, and the structure reads as a clean uptrend, price above both its one-month and longer averages. That alignment gives buyers control, but proximity to the range ceiling raises the risk of profit-taking if the next catalyst fails to attract fresh demand.

The month swing high at 30,771 is the key decision point, about 0.5 percent above the current price. It matters because it marks the boundary between continued range pressure and genuine price discovery. A decisive move above 30,771 opens the path toward 31,000, where the round number is likely to draw both breakout interest and profit-taking. The nearer 30,000 handle is the first practical test beneath the market. Holding it would suggest that buyers are defending the breakout area and accepting higher prices.

Below that, the one month average at 29,673 is an important measure of trend quality. A retreat toward it can remain corrective if demand returns quickly. The more consequential shelf of support sits at 28,753, about 6.1 percent below. That level should attract stronger defensive buying because it separates an intact advance from a broader deterioration. The three month range is 27,176 to 30,771, making the lower boundary the major downside reference rather than routine support.

The bull path is straightforward: if NAS100 clears 30,771 decisively and holds above it, then the range resolves higher and 31,000 becomes the immediate destination. If buyers can absorb selling there, the advance gains credibility because resistance has become accepted territory. The bear path begins if rejection at 30,771 pushes price below 30,000. If 29,673 then fails to stabilize the decline, pressure can build toward 28,753. Losing 28,753 exposes 27,176 and would signal that the market is unwinding more than a shallow pullback.

The main risk is a macro repricing that undermines growth valuations just as the index tests resistance. A failed breakout followed by sustained trade below 28,753 would invalidate the constructive read. Net, buyers retain the advantage, but 30,771 must break cleanly before the next leg can be treated as established.
