The Business, in Plain Words

MRI Pumps Work Well But Trade Too Dear

When an MRI scan needs an IV line most standard pumps must stay outside the room. IRADIMED built the gear that operates safely inside the magnetic field. Yet the shares sit 12 percent above our fair value and carry a forward multiple of 41 times earnings, so we pass.

Revenue is expanding 13 percent a year while margins reach 27 percent and return on equity hits 25 percent. Those figures show a capable niche operator that clears the ethical screen without issue. Still the opportunity rating stays at none because price leaves no margin of safety.

The main risk is paying up for steady but limited growth in a specialised device market. Peak earnings and a stretched multiple often signal a value trap rather than a bargain. Analysis, not advice.
