The Business, in Plain Words

Workers sending money abroad still face hidden fees

Every time a migrant worker wires cash home from the US or Canada the old banking rails add delays and costs. Remitly offers a cleaner mobile route and is growing revenue at 25 percent a year while trading on a forward multiple of just 14.6 times. The numbers point to real scale, yet our opportunity rating stays at none.

Margins sit at 6 percent and return on equity is only 13 percent, so the business still has plenty to prove on profitability. The moat is unknown and that gap leaves too much uncertainty about whether growth can compound without heavy spending. Analyst targets sit near 30 dollars but we see no edge worth taking.

Risk sits around currency swings and competition from bigger players that can copy the app quickly. Ethical screen clears, yet the lack of a clear advantage keeps us on the sidelines. Analysis, not advice.
